ImagEntry is a powerful software system for keying data from images. Viking added all the features required for "heads down" data entry that the company is known for to this keying-from-image software. ImagEntry is designed to be the core data entry component of high performance document image systems.

And ImagEntry supplements ICR/OCR/OMR data capture systems with highly effective methods of entering unreadable characters.

Widescreen display

Key-from-image form sets may be defined to incorporate full 80-character data entry forms with a full-height image window. Images can be positioned in the right or left half of the window.

Custom color palettes

The Forms Painter color palette can be customized for each form set. You may adjust the red, green and blue values to create any color.

Record Level Verify (RLV)

ImagEntry now supports this verification method as an alternative to the standard mode. If RLV is selected, two operators key the data with no comparison performed. A third operator views records with discrepancies only, and can select one of the values keyed in the first two passes or enter a new one.

Control of operator access to jobs

ImagEntry production jobs can be assigned to up to five job groups, and each operator can be restricted to specific groups. This feature lets you distinguish data entry jobs for one company location or department from another while still using a shared Viking installation. Or, it can be used simply to control the access to certain data entry jobs.

Custom menus for lead operators

You can specify which supervisory menu options are accessible to which lead operators.

Mouse wheel support

The mouse wheel can be used to scroll images in key-from-image applications and text in the Viewer/Printer utility.

Keypad function key assignment

You can map keys on the keypad to ImagEntry function keys—for example, map the 4 key to F9 and the 6 to F10 to move back and forward a field using the keypad.

VMONITOR—a new user monitor utility

In addition to all of the functions performed by the old monitor utility, VMONITOR displays the job and batch each user is working on, and includes options to print a report of current user activity. You can view Viking license information, as well as switch to a mini-view that refreshes the display every few minutes.
